WEDDING DAY READY

So it is your wedding day. The day where you will have about a zillion photos of you because well... you are the centre of attentions. It is alllll about you! That thought is a little bit stressful, but do not worry! My blog is not just about the best dresses, the trends, bridesmaids and wedding cakes. This blog captured everything and that includes tips such as getting yourself wedding dress ready and photoshoot fresh. My first blog about this is from the amazing Megan Cameron from Bungalow Hair and Make Up. She is an absolute genius when it comes to hair and make up and especially how to get your skin wedding day ready.

Below is some awesome advice on how to get your skin perfect for your big day, to help give you confidence for those close up photos. It takes a little bit of time every day but that effort will make it totally worth it when you can walk down the aisle with glowing skin!

Get your skin glowing and wedding ready without the cost of expensive in salon treatments.

Average cost of monthly microdermabrasion treatments and facials range from $200-$325 states RealSelf.com. Pre-wedding you have enough to worry about, so why not purchase an at home skin-care regimen that will give you the results of in-salon treatments without the cost!

When should I start my regimen?

To begin with, you’ll want to start your regimen as early as possible before the wedding (at least 4 months before for best results). Remember that you may not always love what you’re using, so start early in case you decide to switch!

How do I know what regimen to choose for myself?

Identify what your skin needs. What is bothering you about your skin? Whether it’s dryness, sun spots, blemishes, or wrinkles, there is an at-home regimen that best suits you. I recommend Rodan and Fields.  Each regimen averages $250-$300 for a two-month supply but can last up to 3. They also have a solution tool that enables you to state your biggest skin concerns and it prescribes the best regimen for you and how/when to use it. You’ll be cutting your costs in half, and won’t need to leave the comforts of your own home. You can also order online, no need for a trip to the mall. You’re busy enough as it is!

One thing about any at home regimen is to be diligent about applying morning and night. I have seen the incredible results, just stay on top of it!

What should I do for the rest of my skin?

Make sure you purchase a good salt scrub. Not only are they soothing, but can help clear your head too. It will make your skin beautifully soft. TheKnot.com recommends a salt scrub once weekly with added sodium bicarbonate. “The sodium bicarbonate will break down dry patches and make your skin a sponge for moisture.”

Moisture, moisture, moisture!

Post-bath, and as often as you can, apply a moisturiser. There are a ton of moisturizers on the market, if you’re not sure which one is right for you I would recommend Aveeno. Aveeno is formulated for sensitive skin with naturally active colloidal oatmeal, which is great for anyone with eczema as well. They also guarantee results within two weeks.

Remember that diligent application of your skincare regimen will give you the glowing skin you deserve on your wedding day!
