I got Married in Novmeber 2014 but I have always loved weddings, and I don’t mean that I dreamt about my wedding from when I was a little girl, I mean I wanted to be a wedding planner since I was a little girl. There is something about helping someone on one the biggest days of their lives, helping a couple see their vision come to life and watching all their loved ones soaking in the beautiful venue, food, music and of course love between the newly married couple.
I realised early on that for my wedding I wanted the help of a wedding planner, firstly because I loved the process and wanted to learn, also because I am from Sydney and I was getting married in Byron Bay, also because I knew what I wanted but was so busy that for me to find the time to go through search engines for every single vendor I would need and to find every venue that I could find in the Byron Bay area was almost impossible. It made me realise that there needs to be a space where brides and grooms can visit for an all in one experience. No need to visit dozens of websites for each vendor, The Little White Wedding Guide has done all the hard work for you. Sure there are a lot of blogs out there I know! BUT, this is different, this is a new set of eyes, its interactive, its innovative and I have taken the time to go behind the scenes and find out what tips and tricks vendors have for brides, advice on what to ask your photographer, florists, caterers, how to pick themes, how to pick colour schemes, what flowers will be in season and everything in between.
What I really want from you to find in The Little White Wedding Guide is for you to fall in love with planning your wedding. To be excited to go online every day and see whats new, to learn something that maybe you didn’t know that will help your wedding be the wedding of your dreams.
So grab a coffee or even better a glass of wine and have a look around, enjoy seeing beautiful real life weddings that you can take inspiration from, explore the venues and imagine yourself on your big day standing at the end of the aisle in your dream location.
Finally, some advice that my bridesmaid gave me when I was stressing about my engagement party save the dates (don’t judge me) “You are marrying your best friend. You have been talking about this day since you first started dating and now its almost here. Your wedding day will come and go but you get to be married to your best friend forever. Just remember that every time you start to stress about the little thing”. So take that advice with you on your planning journey and try and enjoy every step of the wast. Hopefully The Little White Wedding Guide will help make that possible.
